Registration Fees: All registration fees must be paid before receiving your badge. Badges are required to enter the conference.
Conference Registration is required for all authors; presenters; session chairs; session co-chairs; sponsors, exhibitors, and general attendees.
Author Registration Requirements: For each Technical Publication, Technical Presentation or Poster, a minimum of one author must be registered at the appropriate Member or Non Member rate according to their membership status (member, non-member, student member, student non-member, life member etc.)
Papers presented that do not meet the author registration requirement WILL NOT be published.
Student Registration Fees: Student registration rates are only available to undergraduate and graduate students who are enrolled full-time and have not yet received their Ph.D. Post-docs may not register as students.
All student registrants must present a valid student photo identification that includes an ID number and “Valid Thru” date. Student identification will need to be uploaded during the online registration process.
International student identification must be presented in Roman alphabet. If an ID is not in this format, students may present a letter from their university on university letterhead as a second form of ID.
Failure to produce a valid student identification will result in the transfer of the student registration to a regular member or non-member registration category. No exceptions will be made.
Identification & Badge Pick-Up: Attendees are asked to present a photo ID at registration to collect their badge and registration materials. Registration materials will not be provided without a photo ID. Individual registrants may only collect their own individual registration packets. This procedure is in place to protect registration materials from getting lost and allows ASME to monitor accurate attendance. Special arrangements may be made for exhibitors and sponsors whose company has arranged in advance for group pick-up of badges.
Registration badges must be worn at all times and should be worn only by the named participant; transfer of badges to another individual is not permitted.
Guests of Registered Attendees: All guests attending any event activity must be registered along with a full conference attendee and must pay the advertised fee.
Payment Method: ASME accepts VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Visa Debit and Debit Mastercard. Wire Transfers are also acceptable if payment is received by Tuesday, May 26, 2026. After this date, only debit / credit card payments will be accepted.
Cancellation/Refund Policy: Cancellations received on or before Friday, May 15, 2026, will receive a full refund, less a €100 administrative fee. No refunds will be granted after Friday, May 15, 2026. NO EXCEPTIONS. No-shows will not be eligible for refunds.
COVID-19 - The United States Federal Health Emergency regarding COVID-19 ended May 11, 2023. ASME in-person activities will follow the state and local laws, regulations, and guidelines regarding communicable diseases applicable to the location of the event. These mandates are subject to change and should be continuously monitored.
*Refunds will not be offered for COVID-19.
Substitutions: Registrations may not be transferred or substituted at any time.
Event Cancellation: If the event is cancelled, conference attendees will be returned the registration fee only. Any fees associated with cancellation of travel or housing reservations is the exclusive responsibility of conference attendees.
Author / Presenter Attendance Policy: According to ASME's presenter attendance policy, if a paper is not presented in person at the conference, the paper will not be published in the official archival Proceedings, which are registered with the Library of Congress and abstracted and indexed. It also will not be published in the ASME Digital Collection and may not be cited as a published paper.
Each paper has a primary author identified who is responsible to present the paper at the conference. Should the primary author not be available to present the paper, a co-author may be nominated to present the paper as a substitution. Any proposed substitution must be approved in advance by the conference chair and must notify the Event Management staff in advance of the presentation.
Content Presented at ASME Conferences: ALL papers presented at ASME conferences fall under the ASME copyright. Participants are reminded to present information associated with approved papers and abstracts and not to present any information that may be considered proprietary, confidential or restricted in any way.
Badges: Conference attendees are reminded that it is important to wear your badge at all times to gain access to conference events. However, for safety reasons, please remember to remove your badge when you are outside of the events and facilities. Registration badges should be worn only by the named participant; transfer of badges to another individual is not permitted.
Photographs/Video/Audio Recordings: Participants are reminded that material presented at ASME conferences is the copyright of ASME and as such they are prohibited from recording presentations in their entirety with the intent to distribute to others. The use of personal smart phones, cameras or video devices should be limited to recording snap-shots or snippets for personal use. Participants are encouraged to take snapshots throughout the conference venue to support ASME’s efforts to convey the excitement of the event through posting on social media. #TurboExpo
Unauthorized Solicitation: Unauthorized solicitation in the exhibit hall or technical program is strictly prohibited. Any company or representative of a supplier who is not an exhibitor and is observed to be soliciting business in any area of the conference venue is deemed inappropriate by ASME event management, will be asked to leave the conference immediately.
Conference Etiquette: As a courtesy to our speakers, please refrain from the use of mobile devices, and side-bar conversations of any kind during presentations. In consideration of all attendees, we ask that attendees please take any conversations outside session rooms.
Conference Accessibility: ASME embraces accessibility and full participation and is dedicated to providing ADA-compliant accommodations to people of all abilities. You may indicate your desire for a member of the staff to contact you directly to discuss your individual needs and ASME staff will make every effort to accommodate requests we receive on site.
Limitation of Liability: You agree to release and hold harmless ASME from any and all claims, demands, and causes of action arising out of or relating to your participation in this event, including but not limited to the use of the conference center, lodging facilities and tours related to the event.
Alcoholic Beverages: No one under the age of 21 will be served alcohol at ASME events and any attendee may be asked to produce identification to confirm their age before being served.
Underage Persons: Due to the nature of ASME Conferences, children under the age of 14 are not permitted access to conference activities. Any child under 18 must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or teacher and must be registered for the conference or a ticket purchased if they attend any functions, which are made available. Parents traveling with small infants are responsible for making all necessary arrangements for their children.
