Welcome to the student support application site for the SEG 2026 Conference, taking place September 30 – October 3, 2026 in Salt Lake City, United States.

Students receiving Student Presenter support will be required to secure all personal travel arrangements, including but not limited to flights and accommodations. The bursary will cover a set portion of these travel expenses, but any additional expenses will be the responsibility of the student. Approved funds will only be released once the recipient has registered for the conference and provided a proof of visa or proof of residency. Funds will be returned to SEG if the trip is canceled for any reason.

Where will you be flying from?

Conference Accessibility Program (CAP)

Ensuring the participation of students and geologists from the local underrepresented region is an important element of each SEG conference. Through the generous support of our program's sponsors, SEG 2026 will offer funding to support the travel of regional underrepresented students, postdoctoral researchers, and early-career academics through the Conference Accessibility Program. For information on eligibility and how to apply, please visit the CAP webpage.

Will you apply for CAP? Please be aware that you can only receive one type of funding.

Undergraduate Conference Support Program (UCSP)

SEG encourages students early in their academic journeys to explore whether a career in economic geology is right for them. With the generous support of our program sponsors, SEG 2026 will offer funding through the Undergraduate Conference Support Program (UCSP) to support undergraduate students from around the world in attending the conference. For information on eligibility and how to apply, please visit the Student Support webpage.

Will you apply for UCSP? Please be aware that you can only receive one type of funding.
